Just my 2 cents but for the e9x I thought the Sedan was the weaker looking of the two ... this time around I think the coupe is the weaker one. BUT. not in SO for some reason ... i think it looks fantastic:

Thanks, something looks way off with the bonnet colour in this picture. Colour saturation or something but not like the (few) SO's I've seen.

I think the first orange car that I loved the looks of was a TVR Tuscan, in was it 'burnt orange'? Certainly back then TVR had some great colours that were so different in different conditions. Usually however they were lit up by AA Van lights or inside a dealers From what I've seen of SO it varies a lot in different light and will be just as rare as these TVR's were.

[F82/F83] Official SAKHIR ORANGE M4 Coupe/Convertible Thread
At the PDC for a 2-Day M School and noticed these guys hanging out. Apparently they were here for some press drives. M4 in Sakhir Orange.
Rear tires on the AW M3...toast. I tried to get a good pic of the driver seat with the cloth, but with the windows closed and the way the lighting was, it just washed out. As far as when the M3/4 will become part of the fleet for the M Schools, the cars they ordered are on the ground in the states, but stuck at the VDC awaiting CARB clearance. As soon as they are cleared, they will have to go through break-in, and then they will be placed into service. Their best guess is mid June. Needless to say, we were bummed we missed them by like a month...

Always amazes me how bad the paint is, you would have thought they would have made a better job with the orange peel, it looks worse than my 4 series

It's a pre-production car. I would never expect anything great.

There are plenty of pictures of Sakhir Orange in the sunlight on the M6 and M5. It looks nice, but garish, and so does Austin Yellow. The M colors aren't great this time. Who can live with orange or yellow or baby blue in the long run? Monte Carlo Blue would have been fine. Why introduce baby blue instead? |

Beautiful F82 M4 Coupe in Sakhir Orange. Still not a fan of the dark rims. Bright Sunshine makes this color pop..... Enjoy. Thanks. PalBay

here are some I took at 12pm, with the sun directly over head. Color is accurate, maybe a little brighter than it was in person because my phone camera couldn't pick up how magnificent the color actually is. There is another batch of photos I took in the rain because it happened to be raining when I was there. I did not, by any means, try to plan to take pics of this car in the rain so it would look better? or worse? Have I cleared myself of incrimination yet? =)
^That guys pictures are incredible, thanks pal bay! Last edited by serieD; 05-21-2014 at 07:33 AM.. |

Pretty, and some interesting effects in the sun. These are great pictures.
I like it as a curiosity (just like Austin Yellow), but wouldn't own it. Not subtle - draws too much attention, and it's a sensory overload. |

I am between SO and YMB. YMB, I feel has taken a bad rap on the forum, it needs to be seen in person before anyone counts it out. It is really an interesting color. But I think for the f82, SO will be the way to go for me. |
