I ended up getting Dan's powder coated white ones from him and was wondering if anyone wanted to trade for the black ones or another color? They also have Meth bungs installed, which is an added bonus.

Just installed Mishimoto charge pipe yesterday. Fitment is as good as factory piece and does not touch anything else. I was really impressed with it.

Just an update for those considering these charge pipes.

I just ordered a set and they were supposed to come with meth bungs, and well they sort of do, but it looks like we have to tap them out ourselves.

I just opened up my package to have a look.

What do you mean they sort of do? the welding the bungs in place but didn't cut through the pipe yet?

Maybe a mfg error?
Have you contacted the seller Or Mishimoto? Odd they would weld the bungs but leave them raw versus putting a plug in place.

I guess they figured it’s not a huge job to tap the hole myself or maybe leave it open in case of different sized meth nozzles etc?

No I’ve not reached out to the manufacturer.

But I’ve got another set coming in soon for a friend and will be able to confirm if it’s the same

*edit*

I just checked the photos on their website and there is a pic of their “meth bung” on one of the pipes. It shows the same pinhole on the outer part of the bung which means it’s prob not a mfrg error. But is designed as a drill point to tap out the opening ourselves

I don't know about you guys, but there was a lot
of room where the OEM o-rings are supposed to sit for me. I noticed after removing these recently installed charge pipes in order to do spark plugs the OEM o-ring was not seated & sealed (despite spraying dry silicone lube during initial install).

So I went and double o-ring'd it with an extra o-ring from the harbor freight o-ring kit, to act as a spacer & keep the OEM o-ring sitting flush at the bottom of the pipe. 🤷

So hey everyone here - i'm so grateful for you all and this forum.

I was installing the mishimoto charge pipes and VRSF J pipe today, thinking ... WTF these are a terrible, sloppy fit....

Well, it had been long enough since i disassembled the S55, i completely forgot (didn't know) there were rubber O-rings in all of these pipes.

I was so frustrated thinking I had bought products with shit tolerances, thanks to you all i figured out my error.

Also - Mishimoto really needs to include different bolts for the charge pipes. The shape of the flange and the flare makes it impossible to properly tighten. An 8MM wrench got me there, but it's really not ideal.
