How long would you keep your M? Curious if people getting other cars to DD are keeping their M's a longer than average time.

I have a true beater... Paid $3K for a 1999 Acura CL two years ago; now with 240K miles. Has already saved me a new BMW hood after it absorbed a flying piece of plywood right on the hood during my daily interstate commute home. I would have hated that impact on my BMW.

Got a 2006 Mazda 3 Grand Touring sedan. Only car I got and only use it mostly weekends since driving into Manhattan and not using the subway is just stupid. Replaced my true beater, 1996 Saturn twincab which by the grace of god blew up. Was lucky to find my Mazda fully loaded including a seriously rare built in Nav. Haven't driven many cars but myself and others agree she's fast for a 4 banger, light, tight steering and senstive pedal.

On the straights though, yea, this Mazda's power irritates me. After tasting the F80's power over the summer just makes those moments I can't overtake another car in time just feels worse. I like cars of this size and F80 is only just slightly bigger with many of the similar features. Someday the F80 will become my primary also.

+1.

MINI Cooper S is a surprisingly fun little go-kart.
Also great as a winter beater.

Nice collection! Replace that Lexus with a Porsche 911 Carrera S, and you'll reach perfection.

I very badly wanted a Raptor but wasn't able to lease one, so I ended up with a Wrangler. It's fun having polar opposites. Perhaps I'll switch it up for a 2016 Raptor.

I plan to split time 50/50 between the M3 and this.

But I also own this.

And my wife will want to drive the M3 periodically so I'll end up driving her car, which is this.

I've had mine since Early October, 2500 miles, no issues or problems. It's a great DD/run around town car, very easy and fun to drive, maneuver in tight places and park. I highly recommend it.
