I just got the letter from the performance center. The first available date based on my prod # is 10/29. I think I may go with that!

Thanks!!!

I think I can help clarify.

I've had my production number for a couple of weeks. Status 111. It was originally projected as a week 38 build.

Several days ago I got an update that it entered status 112 and the projected production week moved to 36.

As of today I do not have:

-A confirmed production date
-A VIN (you don't get this until production starts)

Today I got an email from my CA that he forwarded on from the PC. It had the earliest date available (10/29) to do PCD based on my current, but tentative, build week.

Hope that helps!

My port is NY, so I'm guessing end of October for delivery?
Probably - Week 37 means as late as Sept 13, so 4-6 weeks assuming no delays and you'll be driving it home.

Early November is probably spot on. 2 times now and its been almost exactly 1 month both times.

All I have had is my production number. I have had no issues tracking all of that info I posted in my last post with it.

My CA sent me a screenshot from dealerspeed that shows mutiple columns on it. They are in this order from left to right:

Model code
Production number
Color code
Interior color
Priority
Customer name
Sales person
Alt ship to
Status code
Quota
Comfy production (yr/mo/wk)

Ask your CA for a screen shot from dealerspeed. That should sort things out.

Right they need a VIN to connect the car to your My BMW account. But you can add your production number on the website at my bmw.

Im Week 37. Scheduled for ED pickup on Sept 24. What's the best way to see if the dealer optioned the car exactly as I wanted? I have a copy of the purchase order and the vehicle inquiry report and both are correct. Any other safeguards to ensure there's no mistakes at delivery?

PDC date is set for 10/28. Looks like you got the day after. I'll lay some fresh tracks for you.

Ahh sorry about that! Yes I WAS with Schomp. When they got their allocations in this month they said it covered them until December. And I was 'next in line' if I wanted to wait.

I knew the high volume dealerships were getting a lot of allocations flooding in so I decided to NOT wait.

I called the CAs I had on standby that same day and secured an allocation. I then cancelled my Schomp deal.

Well...unfortunately part of the agreement I reached with the dealership included my promise to not disclose the details. I am a man of my word so I can't give any info.

And believe me I have made a million posts on this forum helping others with the 'how' to buy these cars. So I really want to share the how, and who etc.

It is ironic that I can't share my own deal!!!

I think I need to start a car buying consulting service or something.

Bummer!!!! Would have been cool to meet someone in person from these forums after all these years of being a member.

You could always delay one more day....

me too!! I accepted but plan to request new date when car arrives earlier than expected. Standard PCD procedure is finish week of production + 8 weeks to allow for transport and VPC delays.

I called the "Genius" number, got bumped back from week 38 to confirmed week 41

This whole process started in May. Getting pretty tired of the wait.

PCD date of 10/30 has been confirmed with my CA. Any others scheduled for that date?
