Electronic dipstick accuracy

Hi all,

I measured my oil a few days ago via idrive and it showed as half full. Measured again today and its decided to drop to just above minimum level. How accurate are these electronic sensors? To date my cars been really good on oil and has not required a single top up in over 10k miles. Between today and a few days ago I probably haven't covered much more than 120 miles, is this something I should be looking into or can I put it down to the electronic dipstick not reading properly the first time?

Otherwise no signs of oil leakage, white smoke etc.

Thanks guys.

They are not super accurate but also not way off either. Just make sure the oil is at operating temp and you are on a level surface.
