Coding parking lights off

They can be coded off if you do NOT have the LED headlights. If you have LED headlamps they can't be coded off and you are stuck with them being on if the headlights are on or the switch is turned to the parking lamp setting.

Hi, I saw your post from the other thread, but it is not confirmed if the following work, does it for the non LED pkg? I could try but I like to do my diligence first. Thank you.

FEM_BODY Module:

Turn off Amber Side Markers next to Headlight:
3063 MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_OUTPUT = OFF
3063 MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_OUTPUT = OFF[/QUOTE]

Not correct. They can be turned off.

For LED headlamps:

You'll need to FDL code both TMS modules (one is for the left light, one is for the right)

Within TMS, search for Standlicht Modus 1 & Standlicht Modus 2, and change the Werte Value 64 to 00 as follows:

Original: 00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00
Change: 00, 03, 00, 00, 00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00

That will turn them off. Confirmed this works on my own car. Note that the 3 amber LED's will still turn on when you unlock the car at night and the corona rings and welcome lights turn on. That setting is somewhere else in LHM and it just hasn't been found yet. They will be off when you turn the car on.

For Xenons:

FEM_BODY Module:

Turn off Amber Side Markers next to Headlight:
3063 MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_OUTPUT = OFF
3063 MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_OUTPUT = OFF

Ok for the Xenons, conflicting reports weather it works or not but I'll attempt it and post back. I also want to understand a bit why these regulations are there and how stringent are cops for that. As for the LED which I don't have, it looks a bit more involved...

Well that is fricken awesome then because myself and many others have spent hours trying to figure that out. I will have to do some testing to see if if works on my car.

Guys, i just coded the Xenon version to take out the side lights and it works, but there's a quirck. If you ever need to use the light switch on position 3, I.e. Parking lights, the front side markers don't turn on, the rear lights do.

The flashers still work. So these codes that TonySCV listed take out the side lights when the light switch is in position 1 and 3. So if you don't need those front side lights for visibility, parking this should work. I will post some more details in the coding thread and give credit to TonySCV. THank you. Now I need to some digging in Canadian Lighting regulation and safety.

Hi sorry for an old thread but i'm trying to do this on a 2018 comp pack and below values are actually WERTE values, how do I change werte values to "OFF" its not a drop down. should I just make them 00?

Turn off Amber Side Markers next to Headlight:
3063 MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_OUTPUT = OFF
3063 MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_OUTPUT = OFF

Thanks

You are looking at coding for Xenons lights. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...0&postcount=12 has instructions on how to code TMS module for LEDs.

They are not direct perecentages. Werte values reference intensities in subsequent section.

Hi Guys, Sorry for digging up an old thread.

I have a F22 ‘15 Coupe. I have halogen headlights. I’m trying to dim or completely turn off my parking lights (Small H6W Bulbs) they don’t fit with my new whiter bulbs. Is there a coding procedure I can follow I had a quick look around BimmerCode but could not see anything.

TIA

Hi guys, I know this isn't the right place, but does anyone have any idea what you would have to change in an F5x series vehicle with S5A2A, S5A4A, or S552A LED headlights to get the parking lights to illuminate when the headlights are on (or when the DRLs are on)

It will be in BDC_BODY I expect (Mini's equivalent of FEM_BODY).
