For the shear fact BMW doesn't cover these under warranty I won't get them. Plus for the 7.5k they cost Id rather get some awesome whees.

I'll add that the non CCB calipers with their round puck profiles look entirely 1980's. But I guess BMW had to start somewhere.

Exactly. When I went to put down my deposit I asked if they would be warrantied and was told nope. I understand why they wouldn't warranty but they should understand why I wont buy it lol.

Still no official word from BMW on whether these will be covered under maintenance (somebody please correct me if you have a link from a document or source from BMW.) I know it isn't likely...

The CCB's are covered under the maintenance plan. But it's moot since the rotors are expected to last over 100K miles, and in som publications is described as "lasting the life of the car"

The only way to wear them out is to use them in motorsport, which BMW wouldn't cover anyway.
