Just drove it home though and WOW the sound is pretty incredible. Should be able to take a video today or tomorrow.
How many washers did you put? I placed roughly 3-4 washers and it's still sitting on the brace.
Some mount the brace on top of the arms/brackets for more clearance.

I've got the AA and have had issues with clearance on the center brace (OEM downpipe). All these single mid pipe set ups suffer from this same issue. A simply search on this forum shows hundreds of posts about it.

My muffler guy put the brace over the arms and added spacers and longer bolts. Issue was fixed with plenty of room.

Have you tried loosening all the bolts and tightening the ball clamps first?

Does it make sense to weld the pipe instead?

I certainly wouldn't want to weld it until I was 100% sure it doesn't rub. Seems like it moves with heat cycle.

We have a brace on the way for folks who had to use spacers. We weren't anticipating the difference in clearance across different downpipes and mufflers but we'll be offering the adapter up to anyone who's purchased our mid pipe in the past to make up for the inconvenience

What is the status of this modified brace? I just purchased the midpipe for my M4.

It's still in development. As of right now the immediate fix is to use a few washers to space the brace away from the mid pipe.

Just installed mine today; absolutely love it!! Exactly what I was looking for! Very tempted to add downpipes now

I do have the same cross brace issue others mentioned. I've twisted, push pulled and adjusted everything I can but it still touches, I've added a few spacers as well but am getting low on threads. When the brace comes out I would love to pick one up!!

I installed VRSF midpipe last week. I already had downpipes. Here's a video clip of cold start, valves open, in efficient mode.

Would be cool to see the delta on a dyno. Could be placebo.
