Went to pacific bmw today. Told them I want to order a new m3. They quoted me on 10k miles 36months MF .0008 with 6300 security deposit plus 2k drive off for tax title fees on full MSRP 75600 car which was about 889 including tax. I asked for sales price to be 1500 over invoice they would not budge off MSRP. I told them that I knew I could do better and left...

Went to center Bmw. Told them same thing. They kept trying to steer me away from ordering a new car but rather "finding" me what I wanted. Insert crap about m3 is rare hard to find what u want....may take 6 months to year to get BS. I pressed why it would take that long to "order" a new car and why it would matter what color leather they were using to make the car. The response as u can imagine is pure nonsense..

Eventually they agree to order what I want. They too would not budge on sales price MSRP same old BMW does not let us discount the M 3 nonsense. They asked for 3 k down. I told them don't want to put anything down but rather pay down MF. With the pay down they quoted me .0012 when it should be .0008. They wanted 7k security deposit too. I told them that their MF is not right, their security deposit is too much and that I could get the car for under MSRP

Then exchanged some emails with long beach...no problem. They agreed to MF .0008 w security deposit, 66%residual on 36 month 10k deal. Also they agreed to sales price of 1500 over invoice. I'm gonna go there and take this deal tomorrow. Definitely shop around and stand your ground.

Not to disagree with you, but M3's are not moving quickly out of the factory. Many people, if not most, have experienced delays, sometimes very, very lengthy delays, in receiving M3's they have ordered.

An M3 that I placed an order for back in October has still not entered production.

The spirit of your post is quite good and a reminder that you can find M3's not much above invoice if you shop around - but don't be disappointed if it does take quite a while for your ordered car to be delivered depending on the options you choose.

I think this should be all the more reason for folks to consider euro delivery. If you can find a dealer with an allocation, you should consider it. BMW pays for the trip effectively and they will grant you the production slot/date you so desire.

I ordered mine a few weeks ago for June pick up, got the date I wanted and plan to have the time of my life driving it throughout Europe.

M3's are actually moving on time if not ahead of schedule. I ordered 2/15 and went into production 2/20. You just need to make sure your dealer gives you an allocation that has a build week within 1-2 weeks. The great thing about the internet is that I was able to email 25 dealers and see who had the best deal and earliest allocation.

Nice job on the negotiation. I've had a few friends who had nice deals from LB. They seem the most honest around here. Good luck with everything.

Wow 66% on RV is awesome. I'm looking for a 36/15k so I'm assuming it's 63%? I'm thinking about doing an ED too so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. With MSD your monthly will be in the 800s.

Guys please keep in mind that some states like AZ charge stupid sales and use monthly taxes on leases. It added like $71 to my payment. WTF. Very happy though as this is a business car so it will be written off.

So, you were able to re-sign 1 month after originally placing the order for your car and signing then? When is your car due for delivery? I've seen conflicting posts....some say you can re-sign month to month if the deals improve, others state that you can only re-sign the month your car is due for delivery.
I ask only because I have some concerns of being able to take delivery within 60 days of my original deal. (based on delays at the Port, etc)
March #s are great, of which I signed for, but I will need to take delivery in May to get those...but what happens if the car is delayed into June?
BUT if Aprils #s are just as good if not better, I'd like to resign and take advantage of those, and then I'd feel better about any delays that may happen, and possibly pushing my delivery to June.

Hope this drivel makes sense

My production week is scheduled for week 17 (week of April 20th).
I originally signed on Feb 25th, then changed to March's number as soon as they came out.

They told me that I can change this again in April if numbers come in better than March...

Hi All-

If anyone has recommendations for SoCal CAs that they have had great experiences with, please let me know.

I worked with Philippe Kahn for quite a while before he left, and then his replacement Chris at SouthBay after that. Unfortunately Chris left as well and I'm looking for another super high caliber CA to work with. Looking to get a build allocation for an m3 in the near term... I've reached out to a few people but if anyone has suggestions, I'd love to get them. Thanks!

Agree with XRAVE. I placed emphasis when searching to find a dealer with an allocation ready to go. Placed my order 1/26 car was finished being built 2/5 and at dealer by 2/28 in NY.

Why have you been waiting 6+ Months? thats crazy doesn't make sense.

My dealer had an allocation for about a month after I ordered. That got pushed to December, then January, then March and now who knows when.

I ordered a CF roof, full leather and black 19" wheels. All three of those items had delays.

I'm sorry for your massive delay, but for the sake of not spreading misinformation -- lets not prep forum readers that they should be ready to wait 6 months+ this is just not accurate. Do not let any dealer tell you that about delays. My car has Full Leather and black 19" wheels -- my timeline is real willing to show you proof over PM if you like. My friend ordered from the same dealer Feb 14th, got his production number Feb 20th and his car has CF Roof and black 19"s his m3 and just entered production yesterday.

Ask them for the Money Factor.
15k
Not sure on the MF. I could ask, it was descent. My rate and DP seems to be on the lower end of those posted in this thread....

What is the Money factor on a European Delivery. I am being told .002 by my dealer. My credit is excellent. Doesn't this seem high?

I believe it's the base MF, which is .00129 + .0003 for ED= .00159
