DINANtronics tuner spray connector lubricant

So before any one asks I did contact DINAN and I got no response lol

I bought a used DINANtronics stage 2 tuner and apparently the spray connector lubricant is very important. I got no answer from DINAN thru email. I probably should call, but I asked them about 2 products I found and they didn’t respond.

One is a WD-40 product and the other is made by CRC. Maybe they’ll both work as a substitute, but I’m not sure.

Anyone know if this stuff will work as a replacement to the spray connector lubricant DINAN provides?

I’m guessing the spray in more along the lines of an electrical connection enhancement. Connectivity and maybe some sort of water repellent solution. I don’t think it’s completely needed to make the Dinantronics work, so not essential, but it does improve its ability to function better. If Dinan can’t still source it for you, any industrial electronic center will have an equivalent.

Reduces or more precise fills the gap between pins I believe so to help for better electrical connection.

It’s not really but it can help keep contacts free of corrosion without interfering with the electrical connection. It’s a cheap preventative that does no harm.

I’ll most likely use one of the products I bought to clean the tuner if it looks like I need to. I did buy it used, so it can’t hurt. If I install it and it doesn’t work, I guess I’ll know why...lol

ran my tune for 3 years, did the install of the tuner myself and did not use the spray. Never had any issues with connectivity.
