Mercedes offers better interiors in all it's classes whereas to get the same on a BMW you have to get a 6 or 7 series. Nothing else compares - even the new X5 has a soft plastic dash - feels like the interior of my 5.0 Mustang. Why pay so much for mediocre products?

The only BMWs I'd consider buying are the 6, 7 and Z4, which is why I bought two of those 3. Other than that, money is better spent elsewhere like Porsche or Mercedes. BMW is giving its fans a really hard time to stay loyal. I really hope Mercedes, Cadillac and Lexus destroy BMW's sales so they can go back to making quality cars that made me fall in love with the brand.

Was thinking the exact same thing...I am a cf whore and my e92 M3 Jerez on Bamboo had plenty of it in the interior too..

God I miss that car

I really hope this is not the real M3 interior.
It looks like a base model 3-series interior with Audi seats in it.
The gauge cluster.. WTF?
The interior is devoid of any luxurious embellishment and the tacky obvious plastic bright-work is cringe inducing.
Let's make the entire interior out of soft touch colorless grey plastic and add a few bright plastic strips.

You can be sure it will be better than your '13 M3. And you can be sure it will eat you up inside until you can get out of yours and upgrade. You should really just stay with the " it's much better to go slower in the NA V8 because it sounds so wunnerful" meme. That won't be knocked out for a couple more months.

I feel like I'm the only one who is totally appalled by how cheap the materials are in the F30 (and I presume F32). That whole center tunnel is just cheap hard plastic. In E9x it's much better quality. The leather feels like a downgrade to me too.

BMW is cheaping out on materials while jacking the prices up. I'm having a hard time seeing myself paying for a new F3x/F8x unless they fix the rental car grade interiors.

Why is no one else outraged by this?!
Not only interiors, the engine sound is cheap too.
My old 150hp lancer sounded much better than the clunking engine sound of F3x 328i.

If they have full leather option, it's almost certain that I am saying goodbye to the M5 when this new M3/M4 rolls out next year.

I agree. All the F30 loaners I have had, the interior does feel/look cheap.

That's a depressingly drab interior. I hope it's not what the final product will look like.

Apparently there will be a setting with a boost gauge on the nav screen along with a few other gauges.

Come on BMW you can do better than this with a M car interior. It just doesn't look special. Guess the accountants have been at work telling the designers they must use mainly 3/4 series bits but try to fool the customers by offering some two tone leather seats ! Oh and charge them extra for the full leather interior think they call it extended leather ! Love M cars but somehow I have a feeling this car is just not going to hit the mark

Or he could supercharge his M3 for much cheaper and tear the M4 a new a**hole. And BMW should learn to make interiors from GM. If GM can offer full leather interiors for the base ATS, the least BMW can do is offer it on the M4.

This cant be right. Shittier guages than the e9x (less detail) AND no one else notices the lack of side bolstering (for thighs). I find a picture with chinese characters embossed in hard to believe - just a leak of something thats not final.
