I just checked the M3 virtual showroom and it seems the M3 and M4 rooms don't have the same info. From the M3 showroom:

I rarely ever come here and vent my frustrations with this company, but this pisses me off. The "production" car at the Philly show had contrast stitching. You can get it in a 328.

I'm surprised that you guys are surprised by this. This is so typical, especially in the first year when colors and options are limited.

We need some sort of official confirmation on this. I am considering black but will not buy it without the contrast stitching.

If you get sakhir orange interior, those stitching color will change to sakhir orange. Black leather was only exception to this as it was clearly shown with silverstone stitching on auto show cars (or even their official M4 interior video). |

Just received confirmation from BMW Canada through my dealer. The contrasting silver stitching will be part of the "Individual" offering starting with July production. Further, it will only be offered along with the FULL Merino leather option and not with the extended option . They should receive pricing for the "Individual" stitching in the next few weeks.
That sucks. I feel that it is very close at being false representation on the part of BMW. The price tag/description beside the M4 at the car show did not mention this. Anyhow, it was most likely in the fine print . So that seals the deal for me. Going with Silverstone interior instead. I am not willing to shed $2500 for full leather + $X for the stitching. |

Wow, that really sucks. I'm probably going with Silverstone now, too. But this limits my exterior color choice since it doesn't fit with all colors.

If contrast stitching is around $500-1000 on top of full leather price, I might go with black leather with silverstone stitching.
