Picked up an M4CS

Hi BimmerBrahs,
For anyone aware back in early September my F80 M3 CP was stolen.. Thread is linked below for anyone interested.

I had been back in the market now for about a month, looking mainly for a high spec M3. Having complied the below list for my like to haves for my next car.

2018 or newer
Icon headlights
Carbon interior/Exterior trim
Individual colour
Less than 10k miles

I wasn't in a rush and I had even made a few offers on a few cars that sort of matched my spec over the last 3 weeks or so.. sadly finding one in a fancy colour was proving a pain though there was plenty of White and black cars, having owned 2 white and 2 black in the last 3years I fancied a change.

Now the M4CS. I have a bit of history with this particular car, it arrived at my local dealer who is less than a mile away from my house in early August. They listed the car in the early 80's at the time I believe 82k or something silly like that. Goes without saying well out of my budget but being a bimmerbrah I decided to take a very short drive over and see the thing in the flesh as I wasn't sure if I would even get to see one driving around on the road.

First impressions looking at it were WOW! SMB looks amazing IRL and I was blown away by the looks of the car, seeing it parked next to an M4 Comp Pack with the full carbon exterior highlighted further this car looked amazing as it just looked soo much better than the "standard" comp pack.

I spoke with a sales rep there told him at the time, took it for a test drive and talked some numbers(they were almost double my current lease payment) I wasn't looking to jump out of my M3 unless they could take it off me at break even considering I had only had the car at this point for 7 months it was very unlikely a car twice the price was anywhere near my budget. I made a joke about it as I left "if you can work a miracle and get me in the CS that would be great!!!" He laughed it off.

Last week I went to the dealership as they had an X3 which I was interested in, deal was done without much effort and I went home on Monday thinking on Thursday I would be picking up a new X3.. Tuesday afternoon I got a call from the dealer to say "Hey remember that M4CS you were wetting yourself over? Well we've just dropped the price by 25k are you interested?"

I composed myself cleaned up my now soaking wet sweat pants and told them I am but its still slightly out of budget for me. The SA told me give me 15mins let me see what I can do...

15mins later they had agreed to drop the car another 2800 and offer me 4500 deposit contribution bringing the car level with the monthly payment I was making just 2 months back on my 2017 ZCP with 30k miles on it.

Deal was done within 20mins and 2 hrs later I went over to the dealership took the car on a test drive and sorted out my deposit.
Friday 5pm I was handed over the keys to my almost brand new (1600miles) M4CS!!

If you guys want more info on the deal etc or any UK guys looking to get into an M car feel free to give me a shout as I have a very good relationship with my local dealer and I am on my 5th M car in the last 3years. I am sure the guys there could sort you out with some decent numbers!

I thought M4 always sat that high but yeah rear wheels also dont seem to fill the gap, almost like they are front width. Something is off

I will register over at M3Cutters very soon.

It is on MPSS's I assumed no one is specking the Cup 2's in the UK due to them being pretty crap in the wet? Sadly haven't had much time to drive the car as the weekend the weather was horrible and I have been away from home since Sunday night for work.

I'm heading back home today so will be taking a night time drive today and can't wait!

Did that come factory tinted or did you have it done by someone before taking delivery?

Mine came new on Cups, have to say they are amazing as long as you drive to the conditions if it’s cold and wet. Well worth the trade off in the dry. My rears have probably 1k miles left so they will make 8k or so, and I’m going to replace with another pair. I bet you can’t wait for that first proper drive!!

In the U.K. most cars come with option “sun protection glass” which factory tints everything behind the B pillar.

The PSC2 being bad in the wet is a myth a debunked for myself. While I never encountered an issue driving them in the rain on the street, what really got me impressed is how well they performed on a moderate to heavy rain track day. The PSC2 do fall off when the weather gets cold (<7degC) and are really bad when it is cold AND wet. They are still driveable, but you need to adapt your driving in those conditions. For summer driving, they are really great and contribute at enhancing the CS experience.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments! It's truly a dream come true for me and still can't believe I have a CS sitting on my drive.

Today I parked the car out front so I can drool over it from my living room... picked up my first parking ticket lol but it was worth it!

I have considered picking up some cups but it will most likely be in the summer and by then I will have gotten to grips with the car.
