Calipers

​Brembo produces high-tech brake calipers installed as original equipment in the leading car models in every category.
These monoblock or two-piece fixed calipers are made from aluminium for maximum lightweight and performance,
while the number of pistons varies from 2 to 6 in relation to size.

Discs

Brembo is a world leader in the development and production of brake discs. Brembo supplies makers of cars,

Thanks to integration of production processes and the use of the best design and construction technologies,
Brembo factories around the world have by now achieved annual production of close to 50 million discs/year.
To support its clients and their respective global expansion strategies, Brembo has production operations in Europe,
USA, Mexico, Brazil and China, all implementing standardised, integrated processes, to optimise production and logistics costs.

Modules

A braking system consists of a number of different components that have to work together as a totally integrated
and highly efficient system to ensure reliability, comfort and durability.
Brembo can ensure this degree of total integration thanks to an exclusive approach that considers the
system as a whole - an approach that necessitates an in-depth knowledge of every element involved in braking.
Brembo is one of the very few brands capable of taking this whole-system approach as it manufactures all
the components involved in braking (discs, calipers, pads and hub carriers) in-house, which it then assembles them
to supply its clients with complete, integrated modules and meet the requisites for light weight, performance,

Aluminum Components

The automotive industry's evolution toward producing cars that offer higher safety standards while also reducing environmental
impact has led to the widespread usage of light alloys and metals such as aluminium for a wide range of components.
In this regard, Brembo offers its clients the advantages of aluminium casting and machining technologies that
have been perfected over decades of research and implementation.
Today there are many cars equipped with suspension components produced by Brembo that are either integrated
into the module or supplied as stand-alone components.

Carbon Ceramic Disks

The Brembo Group has been manufacturing carbon ceramic discs for automotive applications since 2002,
when it first supplied these components for the Ferrari Enzo.
This high performance material, made from a special mixture of powders, resins and fibres in a complex manufacturing process,
has been used since the 1970s in braking systems for aerospace applications and since the 1980s in motorsports.
Since 2000, carbon ceramic has also been used in the production of braking systems for sports cars.
In 2004, the carbon ceramic braking system was awarded the Golden Compass prize by ADI, the Italian Industrial Design Association.
Carbon ceramic offers substantial benefits in terms of performance - in both wet and dry conditions - weight, comfort,
corrosion resistance, durability and high-tech appeal.
In June 2009, Brembo forged the equal share joint venture Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes together with SGL Carbon,
with the objective of developing carbon ceramic braking systems, and manufacturing and commercialising carbon ceramic
discs exclusively for the passenger car and commercial vehicle original equipment markets.
Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes is currently the leading producer of carbon ceramic discs, and supplies these
components for the most exclusive models of prestigious brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin,
Corvette, Nissan, Lexus, McLaren, Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and AMG.
