Saw one at cars and coffee about a week. Didn't snap a pic, but one photographer did. Seems like they're available. Really beautiful in person

Honestly the only change in the M3 LCI seemed to be the taillights... The true next gen with be the F3X M3.
It actually is not, worldwide the RS5 has been out since 2010.

Also, I agree the coupe did only come out in 2012 but the sedan has been available since 2007 also. So again only LCI upgrades.

Agreed! They are amazing as is... I can't wait for what's next.

I feel like we have an idea about the new M3 considering we've seen the F30 sedan... and I assume this RS5 will stay a while, at least in the US... but who knows what MBZ is up to with a new C-class!

Don't get me wrong, this is a good looking car but tipping the scale at ~4000lbs would the Cayman/ S be a better value for money? The S is fast (if not faster) and will be cheaper than this car and IMHO looks fantastic. Utility aside (The A/S/RS5 have horrid back seats), this is not a car for the enthusiast.... not to mention the horrible gas mileage.

Nah. The A5/S5 has been around since 2007. The RS5 is based on this same chassis, and has been out since 2010. Audi refreshed the entire A5/S5/RS5 line in 2012 as MY13 changes, and used that opportunity to release the RS5 in the US.

The C63 coupe is based on the W204 generation, which has been out since 2007. Mercedes refreshed that platform and introduced the coupe last year as a MY12 change.

Again, BMW will be the first of the big three German companies to introduce their new mid-size coupe (F32) and sports/M variant (F82), both of which are based on the next generation sedan that is already available (F30).

Interesting observation. We just picked up our S4 to replace my wife's A4 daily driver. RS5 is a Fantastic car. Heavy to be sure; but, not an enthusiast's car? A friend just took delivery of their new RS5 and took it out to the track and took a few laps during the instructor session. It proved to be capable of holding its own with the mostly Porsche contingent. For what it's worth the RS5 is replacing their RS6 or their R8 depending on your point of view. I don't think you buy an M3, M5, or RS5 for gas mileage.

It really depends on what you want to do with the car -- I love my 135I as my daily driver and it is a great driving car on the street. We got the S4 because we wanted four doors for occasionally putting people or dogs in the back seat. (We have seat covers when dog transportation is necessary) and my wife objects to the towmobile being our only four door vehicle.

If you want a track car -- M3 or some Porsche -- I like lighter weight vehicles for replacement of consumables - brake pads and tires.

Opinion Input -- M3 looks better and costs less... Add less than perfect condition and the Audi shines.
