Mishimoto or ESS?
Hi, done a lot of searching on different charge pipes as I've been thinking of getting a set.
I've narrowed it down to 2 brands 1) Mishimoto 2) ESS Silicone Pipes I don't think I see meth in my future lol, wanted to see if I can get current users to chime in. Looking for best fitment. Thanks a bunch! |

i would go silicone if you think you will never use the charge pipes for meth injection. purely from the standpoint of being more resistant to heat soak.
fitment wise, the mishimoto has the best reviews but silicone is flexible |

Both area quality brands, Mishimoto have been much more popular for us lately and it's very highly rated.

Flip a coin. Both excellent brands! If I were going to spray in the charge pipes, I'd go with Mishimoto without hesitation. Before Mishimoto released theirs to market, I had already pulled the trigger on my ESS charge pipes. No issues. Honestly, see who has the better of the sales this weekend

Best fit = Mishi
Cooler IAT = Silicone Silicone usually needs tweaking and trimming for a good fit. They can be problematic with engine cover clearance. I thought the lower IAT was worth it so I picked VTT and keep my engine cover off. I'm going for power now.

I like the ESS Silicone, they did require a bit of trimming to get them perfectly where I wanted but it was worth it.

Any hood rub (or other) from your engine cover after using the ESS set?

What do you guys think of CTS charge pipes vs ER charge pipes? I am wanting Meth bungs on each pipe, just not sure its worth twice the money.

I'm not sure how I feel about that weld seam/transition on the front chargepipe, seems likely to be restrictive vs a fully mandrel bend?

Not restrictive at all. It's actually feels more responsive now. Pulls nicely throughout the rev range. If you see how the factory plastic charge pipes become flat in some spots, Mishimoto's is more round in most areas. You can't even see most of the pipes anyways. I bought them more as prevention to cracked chargepipes. It's a really nice and solid piece. Flow bench tested as well |

The Evolution Racewerks is superior when it comes to finish quality. In my opinion, they have the best finish quality on the market. You can't go wrong with either one
