Lower LC Launch RPMs via a Tune?

Hello All -
Very new to this thread. Have a 2016 F80. While attempting to use LC today, I noticed the lowest RPM it would allow me to launch via LC, was to 3000. I got a lot of wheelspin. I read this is in all likehood a result of the version firmware my car is running. From reading multiple threads it appears that I am going to want to set launch anywhere between 2200-3000 RPMs for better traction (Newbie).

Thus, my question: Am I able to lower the Launch Control via a Tune? Any insight would be most appreciated.

Thanks you all, in advance!

I had the same experience on my 2017 M4 ZCP. Wasn't able to adjust down rpms using cruise control lever as instructed. Launched at 3000 rpm with wheel spin. Still running factory tune <10k miles.

Can confirm 2017 M3 non-zcp doesn't allow you to adjust down from 3k rpm. I heard you can adjust up, though I never tried it. Very frustrating, because it spins at launch and messes with my 60 foot, making me lose precious tenths of seconds. Might start looking at stickier tires.

Agreed, really stinks. I can adjust upwards which makes it even worse on stock tune.

I wonder if there are any tunes out there which enable the ability to change that specific configuration? From all I hear it was such a beauty to launch in LC when configured sub-3000RPMS. . . And again I get that I am no expert at launching this beast, nor do I foresee myself going down to strip anytime soon to master it. I would simply like to effectively utilize the LC feature while minimizing wheel spin. These cars already cost a boatload of money (for some of us at least, for other perhaps a drop in the proverbial bucket). I don't want to go out and spend money on tires, which might be "stickier" under ideal conditions but make it even harder to drive around in less than ideal weather condition (i.e. Rain).

I used LC on a 340i X-drive and I was really impressed at how that thing shot out of the hole. I understand that in many ways it's apples and oranges (M3 and 340i xdrive) but it seems that the driver was able to adjust his RPMs downward of 3000RPMs. . .

Looking to our Tuners to hopefully provide some input here. . .

Again, thanks in advance guys!

Wondering if this thread is in the right place. . .? Or is it really that no one on here might have the right answer?

Multiple members have been successfully launching below 3k.
Reduces the F8x's tendency to spin like crazy.
