FWIW I found the Atlas to be a good bargain at $49k sticker and $42k selling price. It not going to hold it's value as much an an X3M or X5, nor does it drive as well, but similarly equipped it's no comparison: X5 reaches $70k once you start checking the boxes. Also good luck finding AWD, because most X5s are sDrive for the city slickers.

I also like the CX-9 which sacrifices interior room for driving dynamics. I'd also look into the XC90.

Absolutely, thank you for this! The Volvo is on our list, as is another x5 it’s just so hard to decide. Our e70 has all the boxes ticked, HUD, third row, x drive and I’ve even installed the oem hitch setup. It’s just starting to leak oil from I believe the oil pan. The soft close mechanism just took a dump.. don’t want to dump 2-3k into a car that’s starting to fail versus putting that into a new jam.

Total girl’s car. Drives really nice though and has adaptive cruise which I wish my car had. But it looks nice and is comfortable.

She had a Lexus GS350 F-sport for a little over a year. I got my M3 and she really liked it. Then she saw and test drove the M340i and fell in love with it. The beginning of this year she got a 2020 Portimao blue M340i x-drive. Awesome car!

Same boat here...our E70 35d has been a fantastic family hauler, so much so that it's making it tough to move on. We've been looking at CPO F15s and G08s, but neither feels like a big improvement over the E70. The emissions warranty just expired on the E70 though, and I don't want to be holding the bag next time the SCR system gives up the ghost...so I think it's time to learn to live without hydraulic steering.

I’m digging the m sport models of the f15, may have to go that route.

A loving companion to share life with isn't a problem in my book. You just gotta find the right person.

2019 Toyota Highlander that is pretty well opted. She said she is never getting a minivan but is perfectly happy with the Highlander. She's more into shoes and purses than cars.

Eh...I'm happy you found yours. It's not in the cards for some. My ex-wife took me to the cleaners after she had an affair and it took me damn near a decade to recover. Not going to make that mistake again. With the divorce rate at over 50%...its not worth it. If I told you the plane you were about to board had over a 50% chance of crashing, would you still get on it?
That being said...if you are happy that's all that matters. I'm happier and wealthier on my own.

Been there done that. To each their own. I'm happily single with many female single friends in my life. My money is my money and theirs is theirs. BTW you don't need to be married to have a lifeline companion/companions. That sounds like a scapegoat for someone that can't do any better. Let's be honest...most married couples are not happy hence our divorce rate.

trying to convince her we should sell the m3 and tlx and share an LC500. She works from home and i drive 80 miles a day. I'd still take the civic to work 95% of the time. She's too worried about scraping a lip or wheel on an expensive car like that.

she wants to get herself a miata instead. fine by me, anything is better than that TLX. so heavy and boring.

If it was easy it wouldn't be that valuable and when you have whats best for you, you actually can't do "any better".

I test drove a Macan a month ago. For a DD I think it's perfect: style, speed, and utility. I'm definitely considering one as my new daily.
