Damage was about $2k.

City paid half saying
1 we have no proof you damaged your car there (no police report)
2 We are a municipality and can't be sued (true, at least here in IL). So take it or leave it.

The bitch is there had been a construction horse around it. City had removed it to help with traffic. It was back next day.
Man sweet E60 M5! Love those things.
Side note- wouldn't filing a police report show up as "accidental" on carfax?

Interesting question. Maybe?

But the city would have paid the damages. So something to think about....

Maybe she crashed it and both her and her trainer lied, trust me these cars + curbs do not do well. you can spin out into a curb have 0 body damage and nuke the suspension.

It could be possible she spun out clipped a curb at an akward angle at decent speed.

You gotta love F8X cars, some of the most untame scary cars out there

Good luck, pretty sure if you need a strut it is on back order for like 1.5 months. Try to buy aftermarket and have them install full coil-overs.

Your suspension with whats going on is going to take forever to repair.

I thought it would be only a couple of suspension parts and the right-rear wheel.

Does this look like it warrants this repair estimate?

So op let his unlicensed girlfriend drive his M3 and he wasn't even in the car... my jaw dropped when I got to that point. The plot thickens...

Well now you need to change your username, you're no longer an m3virgin. You've officially been screwed.

Sorry to hear about the car.
