I think I initially liked the concept of it but the more I look at it the worse it gets. It just seems like it's trying too hard to make the DCT look like a manual. The shift boot doesn't help...

I am thinking of keeping the boot cover and putting my carbon shifter back on

Please add some pics of that combo. Maybe it’s a combination of the knob and the boot that looks weird but the OEM knob might look ok with the boot?

Let me know if you're looking for a red one I can sell it at a great discount. You can always repaint it
You would need the boot cover and set of screws which can be purchased through the company like I bought the shifter separately from them

Went for the Black Forest Industries GS2 shift knob in black alcantara/black anodize as well and the black alcantara boot with the straight M Motorsport stitch. Also, slapped on a Rush Customs CF DCT Trim panel. Had it on for about 2 months, my wife & I are loving it.

Didn’t go for a all metal knob as I dread touching/holding onto a hot shift knob on hot summer days.

Girlfriend and I both have these knobs. We love them. Her alcantara is holding up great.
