Strange Bug in suspension/steering

I swapped out my stock tires for PSS 275/35/19 fronts and 295/35/19s rear. In sport plus steering wheel is so heavy but I like it that way... Today I noticed the steering wheel feels really lighter than before even though my M1 button is sports plus for all settings. I manually changed steering from sport plus to comfort and then back to sport plus and the steering felt heavy again. Anyone could chime in what could cause this?

Also, why wouldn't go to 30 series in the back?

I like the beefy look and feel of the 35's and keep in mind if you go 30's in the rear then you would have to do the same for the front... 30's are too low profile and the gap would be too large. I am still not sure if I will f with my suspension with springs or KW sleeves so wanted to close the gap more.
