Thats a good deal I'd say.

Mine was a '17 M3 with 19k miles in MGM for 59k a few months ago. Differences in our spec are that mine has 666M's, but no full leather.

I thought I got a decent deal.

Excellent topic thanks OP!

Question for the experts here you think a CPO worth the extra $$ over a normal used one? I never been a CPO owner, always buy new so I thought I may go the used route this time until the G80 is out!

I think it depends on how much $$.

I'd consider a CPO for 1k$. Anything more than you'd may as well get an extended warranty, or just pay out of pocket for repairs.

For the record, mine didn't have a CPO. I've also not seen many that have been CPOd. Most dealers will choose not to just because its a lot of expense and they seem to think it sells better without one at a lower price. I'd agree.

Hi, I'm in CA too and looking at out of state deals, did you think out of state buying was worth it? any advice/tips on sales tax and registration? Thanks

Bought my car in March 2018 but I'll play:

2015 M4, mineral grey
DCT
Executive
Full leather
HK audio
BT
Sunroof
M performance kidney grills, side grills, rear spoiler
MPE

25k miles

Paid $44k. I think I got a steal.

I’ve done this twice now. The first time was easy. This time was a pretty stressful. The main reason was the dealership. They are a small dealership, and I don’t think they knew what they were doing. That said, there was nothing that was really competetive in California. The market here is different, so there are better deals across the country.

The tax and registration is easy... you’ll need to get it smogged, and then just take it to the DMV and pay tax and registration. Don’t let the dealership charge any tax or registration fees.

But again, the dealership is a factor. I would look for one that has a big inventory, because that means they sell a lot of cars, which probably means they ship a lot of cars.

I have even bought from a private seller several times out of state. Forum has some decent people who are enthusiasts. My bank handled all title and financing work. It was super easy and got car a week later via a shipper..

In the market now for a used 2017 M3. Here is what I found. What’s a fair price? Car has a few dings on the exterior and a slightly damaged front seat bolster. Otherwise I’d look at just going new.

16k miles
Driver Assistance Package
Extended Leather
No ZCP
DCT

Asking 55k

Thanks for pointing those out. I was actually inquiring what a fair price would be for the non ZCP.

* Never mind the pricing was way too high

Looks like a decent deal with the low miles. As long as you're happy and enjoying the drive that's what matters.
