Advice on a Used M4 Purchase
Hello everyone, appreciate if you can input some feedback here..
seemed to have found a very nice spec 2019 M4 Competition Package, with M Drivers and Exec package (85k msrp), and it also seems to have the M-Performance Exhaust with CF tips on there! (From my understanding this is like a 5k exhaust lol) currently the car only has 6k miles and listed at 69.9k which seems steep but with the low miles, orange interior black exterior, competition with the MPE, this seems competitive to the market in terms of options, what do you guys think? Should I haggling them down to a certain price point and if so where? thanks! |

Yeah seems hard to really price that car with such low miles. I feel your pain. I'd be worried about depreciation buying that high unless you plan to keep the car for a long time or want something fairly mint/new'ish. Goodluck!

Look at the market overall. You are going to pay a premium for any car currently for sale. If you like this one and it checks all the boxes, buy it and drive it.

Thank you for the advice, and I feel that exactly on one hand I plan on keeping it for 5+ years as I have always been a fan of the car and the looks for the longest, and with the new G80s out I am even more inclined to settle with the F80 models..

Thank you, the market is indeed terrible haha, I just was not sure if anyone would have a recommended price point to settle on here or what I should be expecting with these conditions

This has to be your call on what value the car has for you.
May 2020 I bought this 2019 M4 with 6k miles for $60.9k Prices are over the top now, compared to will I have a job next week last year.

Yeah, you can see where prices have been over the past year.
Looking at what guys are paying for 2018’s the price on the 2019 you’re looking at really isn’t that bad, but maybe they can improve on it. My M4 was an early lease return where the previous owner leased/bought an SUV, I bet they got screwed.

Last month I was at the track in my M4 on Saturday and the M2 on Sunday for SCCA time attack and time trial.
I got a bunch of positive comments on the M Performance Exhaust on the M4, also heard the M2 with Eisenmann didn’t sound good. Compared to the M4. Quote:

good to know..thank you! I am not sure if these videos can do justice for the Comp vs MPE Exhaust, it seems the Comp. Exhaust was already "good enough" but MPE would be a welcome bonus

The MPE can be nasty, especially with a tune when driving in sport or sport plus.
All kinds of pops, crackles and gun shots. Try and find a local that will let you check out their M.

Oh man I bet, (unfortunately had a bad experience with a tune on my last car so I’ll most likely never tune a car again lol) this is why I want to go with the best possible option I can now like the comp/MPE which sounds so nasty stock..will do though
