Why do these keep popping up for sale every couple weeks from different sellers? I swear they just keep playing hot potato with these mufflers.

I've been selling on this site for 15 years... And have sold MPE's before...

People are starting to sell their cars for something new or turn in off lease and think they can be better off selling the exhaust separately...

Mine have been acquired by original owners that do not want to deal with selling on their own/shipping or getting repaired...

Yeah sorry it's not a dig on you or your sale. It's just funny how these are popping up. It's a shame you or others aren't getting the midpipe with the muffler, because it would sell so much quicker in my opinion (or for much more $$)...

I hear ya... Shipping becomes an issue (due to size) when including the midpipe...

And some like to pair it with either OEM, Fabspeed, AA (maybe others, I've been out of the F80 game for 4 years - miss the hell out of it) - it gives buyers options...

There is so far not one MPE confirmed paired with any aftermarket or OEM midpipe.

You still need to use the MPE midpipe.

This. However, there is a thread on here that has a guy sourcing customized parts to make it possible.

Correct, saw it but so far we haven't seen any MPE with non MPE midpipe on the car.

You are right about this thread.

because everyone gets excited at low price MPE without questioning why its thousands less than normal and then realizes they are worthless without MPE mid pipe. Even if you want to pair it with another you still need a part of the MPE mid. I have MPE muffler + porton of MPE mid + AA.

Not necessarily. There are a lot of people who are able to use aftermarket midpipe.

False, that is not a direct bolt-on for the mpe. Still uses the MPE Midpipe as a bridge. This has been discussed for many years. Plenty of info out there on it

Sorry, I don't "ready" very well.

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ght=aa+midpipe

There are numerous people with a MPE muffler with a custom welded AA midpipe without using the MPE midpipe. I've seen one at a local meet.

It's extremely misleading to simply say it can be done without specifying that it takes extreme custom work that not any shop can do. At that point its equivalent to saying all parts fit all cars because hey you can custom fit it.

The reason these get tossed around like a hot potato is because many custom shops still cant do it.

Dudes, if you don't want to buy it don't spam the guys ad. If you going to purchase something incomplete you need to do your home work to ensure you understand what you getting into. Yes it can be done....thats all than should be said. The OP is selling an item not a tutorial on how to make it work without all the additional parts.

Looks like you don't ready very well.

Where did I say it doesn't require custom work? I responded to LOW4LYF when he said "there is not one MPE paired with aftermarket midpipe or OEM midpipe." I responded with "not necesarily true." Both of you guys came with your 2cents spreading misinformation.

So now you are changing your tune? First you said this is "worthless without the MPE midpipe" now you say it is possible but requires "extreme custom work?" Which one is it?

Maybe you are having trouble reading the link I sent you.

After a month of searching I contacted an exhaust tubing manufacturer and he was able to make me the special V bands that are unique to this muffler as well as the flanges.

So....now they'll be able to weld up the MPE muffler to a stock exhaust with the equipment provided.
(ANY COMPETENT EXHAUST SHOP CAN DO IT!)
