That is one amazing picture pardon my ignorance but what model is the one one with the two exhaust pipes in the center? Is that the standard F type? I've seen those around quite a bit.

Then you have never heard the Range Rover Sport SVR. Easily the nastiest note to come stock from a factory not in Italy today. Pretty sure they are putting that engine in the F-Type soon. It really is amazing.

I got a Remus catback today. Its a different experience with this exhaust. It's still loud, but it doesn't queef nearly as bad. Nor is it as loud as the awe at lower RPMS, but It's loud once at higher RPM's!
I think I like the sound of the Remus more, but I'm still adjusting to it the change. I got to hear stock exhaust with down pipes today too. That actually sounded very good. Sounded pretty deep too. I'm pretty sure I won't be doing much more to this car. It's a great car. It's an awesome car. But I can't connect with it like I did with my m3. It's just missing that sound that some of us need to fully love the driving experience. I also know I could never own a batter car either. I need that v8 roar! I miss my E92 m3. = (

Didn't like my E46 M3 sound, but with the Dinan exhaust it sounded great!

This is true. A while ago I invited several M3/M4 drivers for an HPDE, and we got a few Porsche Caymans with us... maybe just me, but the Porsches sounded nicer.

Test drive a C63S, if she still think that sounds "_ussy" then it's time to step up to something with 10 or 12 cylinders.
All the modded (and even stock) M3's/M4's that I see around my area all sound the same - the aftermarket exhausts just makes the poor exhaust note/tone even louder and more pronounced with a ear piercing rasp on the top end. You honestly might find the N55 in the M2 a more pleasant sounding power plant. Or just pickup a used Gallardo or R8 and call it a day! BMW really missed the mark with the sound of the S55. The fact that people are dropping upwards of $5k to "fix" the sound only to end up with something slightly less sub-par speaks volumes (no pun intended) about how the engine sound in performance cars really plays a critical role in the overall enjoyment and driving dynamics. Can you imagine a Ferrari sounding like a 4 cylinder? Even if it drove better than a 911 GT3, you would still be missing that critical emotional connection with the engine/exhaust sound. Instead of spending an an $5k+ on exhaust mods and/or the competition package, why not pickup a C63S with a the 4.0L V8? At that point, the prices are pretty much the same given they are similarly spec'd. Last edited by AlexZTuned; 05-12-2016 at 11:03 AM.. |

Of course she likes the C63s sound! Im actually going to look at one of those too. And I saw a M2 at EAS yesterday. The first thing I thought when it was fired up, was... "WOW, that sounds WAY better than the M4."
