US Millworks Front Plate Bracket Position

I installed the US Millworks Front Plate Bracket yesterday, and while reversing today, I noticed that it randomly triggers my front parking sensors.

I don't think the sensors are that close (see below circled in orange).
The bracket is attached so that the plate is positioned as far left (when looking at the car) as possible.
Is my only option (to avoid the sensors) to adjust the frame so that the plate is positioned higher? I'm not sure I'll like how that looks.

Any thoughts on positioning (and not on other alternatives to the Millworks product) would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

These are extremely finicky and have made my front parking sensors useless in multiple cars - x3 and m4. Curious to watch this thread.

You have to make the prong so that with the quick release it slides in from the right to left.
If you position the prongs and slip in the bracket from the top down it will trigger the sensor everytime.

Thank you for this bit of detail.

I currently have the attachment, such that the plate bracket slides right to left to attach, and not up and down, i.e., the quick-connect pins are vertical.

I think this is what you are indicating I should do, correct?

like this and have the bracket hole placement at the very last holes.
Only time it sometimes goes off for me is when it rains.

I have mine setup exactly like this and haven't had any sensor issues.

If I'm looking at this correctly, when you slide it on, the quick-connect bracket is at the bottom right (looking at the car). Is this correct?
Currently, mine is at the top right. So, I'm guessing your plate is sitting further up than mine, distancing it a bit more from the sensor.

Can you post a picture installed to confirm.

Thanks!

I can double check later but I believe the smaller holes should be at the top of your plate with the bigger cut holes sitting towards the bottom.

This is exactly how I mounted mine and I've never had the sensors trigger.

That's exactly what I had to do. It almost looks like it'll interfere with the headlight but only time will tell.

I decided to just keep it as is and deal with the beeping. Somewhat Surprisingly, I'm getting less beeping In The summer than winter.

I like it's position now, so I'm just living with it.

Plate

I have the same Milworks front plate bracket and had problems with the sensors as well.

I found that tilting the plate at a slight angle to increase the distance from the front most parking sensor seemed to help reduce how often its picked up. But as others have said, its still a bit temperamental.

I had the same issue and ended up ordering the Rennline - No more problems.

FYI - I didn't know it was an option until I ordered the phone mount.

My good friend has the ECS installed w/o issue.

Both are good options.

I've had the same issue , I took it off out of frustration and replaced it with the center mount without drilling option instead.

I fixed the issue by mounting the plate as far left and as high up as possible (while looking at the front of the car)

I had a similar issue and was able to get it just right - I only had issues when it was raining. I ended up going with a Carbonio which I can remove in 30 seconds.

+1 for Carbonio. I've had it on my car for 3 years with no issues. Easy to put on and take off and it doesn't interfere with anything. I take it out when getting the car detailed. I even hit a tumbleweed and it held up (the license plate bent though)
