LCI Upgrade Thread

I have a 2015 M4 (Pre-LCI) with the adaptive headlights kit.

Can I simply plug & play in order to get the LCI Icon styled lights? What exactly is required for this upgrade?

Yes, I have searched the forums; and received condescending answers.

It’s pretty simple answer:

LCI Headlights-

For xenon adaptive: needs headlights, all 6 modules, harness, coding
For pre-lci led: needs headlights, all 6 modules, plug and play basically

LCI tailights-

All Pre lci cars: tailights doesn’t have modules like the headlights, wiring harness, coding

Even going from pre-LCI LEDs to LCI LEDs you will need to code them as the headlights contain different modules, adaptive or not. New LCI headlights will cost a fortune to buy the housings plus 6 modules as they don't come together (due to differing markets), best bet is to buy a complete used set.

Not to open a can of worms but regarding glare-free highbeams (GFHB), it is my understanding that the US spec LCI adaptive LED headlights do not have the required hardware to support GFHB. If you want fully functioning GFHB you'll need pre-LCI adaptive LED or euro adaptive LED (LCI or not). Xenon is a different story, none of the US spec xenon headlights support GFHB.

Have anybody the partnumbers for the LCI II modules, I think 6 are needed, 3 each side.

Swap from Euro 11/16 pre lci adaptive LED to lci II adaptive led.

Thx
