Loading aid not working/convertible top stuck in trunk
Hello everyone! I am trying to see if anyone has experienced this problem and can provide some suggestions on fixing it. Today I lowered my convertible top and raised the loading aid to place an item in the trunk. I then started lowering the roof back into the trunk area using the loading aid, and it stopped before completely closing, and the switch used to operate it started flashing. Now my trunk won't close, and I can't move the convertible top to close it either. Please can someone help with this problem!!!

Haven’t had that happen but don’t use the loading aid much.
Did you try turning the ignition on and then trying?

I had that happen and it was the partition. It looked closed, but the stuff in the trunk was ever so slightly pushing on it. I smooshed all the stuff in the trunk down and slammed the partition into place again and it started working.
Hopefully yours isn't more serious. Hard to drive that way. |

The exact same thing happened to me last summer. The problem was that something I had stored in the trunk was preventing the partition from completely engaging in its lowered and locked position. It seemed totally locked in place to me, but the issue was that the item in the back of the trunk was pushing up on the back part of the partition. I raised the partition, removed that item and lowered/locked the partition. Then it worked totally normally.
