Filling in license plate holes

If a body shop fills in the plate holes and does a clean job will that hurt value of the car or better to leave the plates on than filling in and patching up the holes?

I have heard others possibly just repaint the front bumper.

If the body shop does a good job who would even know the holes were there in the first place? This isn't exactly something which shows up on a carfax.

Do bumper plugs and call it a day.

Bumper plugs and try to stop looking at the bumper.

Bump plug looks awful In my opinion.
My two cents:

Leave the plate frame on and do a custom front plate. This is cool!

Get a good body shop to repaint. Won’t show on carfax report. You will have a clean front!

I would have a body shop fill the holes and repaint the bumper. Bumper plugs are an eye sore in my opinion.

My Macan Turbo came with drilled bumper holes. I took it to my body shop and they were able to fill it in and paint/blend the area so it looks like nothing is there. Didn't require painting the entire thing and it cost significantly less around $200-$250 I think...its been a while I don't remember the exact amount.

Id recommend trying to go this route first. Attached before and after pics of the front area.

Are you in NYC? What shop was this? I need to get 4 license plate holes filled on my YMB F80

For me, bumper plugs were not an option, as the dealership felt the need to drill all 5 screws in so the front plate holder could stay in place during 250MPH runs.

It was best for me to find a reason to remove the bumper and deliver it to a body shot that was able to fill and blend. Few hundred bucks well spent.
