When a motor is making that much power theres little grace with an issue like that. A stuck injector on low boost 550-650 you have some leeway and motor prob would have been okay. Over 700 is when small issues can tank a motor
Sorry not too educated -

Why do you recommend cycling to 91-93 octane every few tanks?

Would you recommend the same if running a e30-e35 tune.

Also what is the CBC and how is it related to crankhub failures?

No, there is enough lubricant in e30 to keep injectors happy, Along with running e-85 you wanna run a product called "Top lube" 4oz of it with a full tank of e-85. that adds lube to the e-85.

This.

E30 > No petrol cycling needed, enough is in the mix to maintain lubricity.
E50 > Extended petrol cycling (every 5,000 miles) or use top lube every 1,000 miles.
E85 > Petrol cycle every 2,500 miles.

Any specific top lube product in general or are you guys talking about Liquid Power specifically?

I haven't added any fuel additives so it's new to me. Figure it cant hurt though.

Sorry to hear this happened to you mate.

If you were still on the stock A2W intercooler, it can leak internally in high boost applications and the engine ends up ingest the coolant water.

In extreme case of failure, they can dump enough coolant into the combustion chamber enough to hydro-lock the engine. Given that your spark plugs, injectors... etc. look fine for cyl 1, I am leaning more towards a A2W intercooler failure which caused a hydro-lock in cyl 1. You also mentioned finding moisture under the valve cover, so it seems the likely cause.

The moisture was found in cylinder #6 and the cylinder that failed was #1. I was also running a Mishimoto TMIC for some time, definitely wasn't/isn't leaking. It was just a glory shift gone bad with a lot of horsepower on a stock engine that had over 100k miles on it. The injector on cylinder #6 appeared to have failed per the sequence/history of the DME codes but I'll have them analyzed to be certain when I have some free time. Bad injector + hard downshift = disaster.

Do you only have the CBC or do you have a pinned or splined crank hub?

in a similar boat but on e85 - Cylinder 4 misfiring under WOT however car starts/idles fine. Only goes into limp mode during WOT pulls. Mechanic says he can see some "shine" on the top of piston 4. Also not getting any severe codes such as deviation, etc. Think my motor is toast?

You'll definitely know if it's blown. Sounds more like detonation or something off with fueling or spark. Check your injectors, coils, plugs first.

where did you get your motor? either looking at Carbahn or another performance motor / used stock motor. Compression/leak down today or tomorrow.
