Shift lights m4

Been taking the car to the top of the Rev range no shift lights coming on.
Can anyone one help ?

Hi Mate,
This sounds silly, but it depends on how you are approaching the red line. You need to go thundering towards the red line, with foot to the boards, typically in the lower gears, if you are merely sauntering towards the red line, they wont appear, hopes this helps, Simon.

Ah thanks ,thought as much .
Had the same issue in the m3 e92 ,just getting use to m4.
Will give it a go tomorrow

i never notice them on the dials, too busy looking at the road when giving it full throttle. HUD in M mode works well in terms of shift lights, i use that all the time.

Me not having the shift lights come yet,does really highlight the difference between the e92 m3 and the new m4.
With the e92 getting the best out of it was taking it to the top of the rev range,less so with the m4,with it's low down torque
Still are both great cars

I think also the M4 is darned quick, you let go of the throttle earlier
