MPE under warranty question

For those who got the cracked MPE under warranty, do they replace only the exhaust can or do they replace the connecting pipes as well? I was wondering because my MPE pipe was cut to add a AA midpipe, would that affect the warranty for the defective cracked MPE muffler can even though the can is separate form the connecting pipes.

My whole MPE was replaced under warranty, was from the center cutline to the back. I feel you should be fine.

Exhaust only usually, no need to replace the midpipe.
