New mustang is an amazing platform, especially now that it has a modern suspension.
Strap on a $7k 2.9L Whipple supercharger kit. You have a 650whp monster for under $40k. |

Plus the car's piping is restricted. Catbacks are showing varied gains, some giving the typical >5bhp, others giving consistent ~20whp (like Gibson and Magnaflow). FBO for $3-5k should up the stock numbers from 435 to 475-500.
Blowers are easily making close to 600-700whp with some builds already hitting 900whp. No coilovers available yet, but springs are coming out. The car's main issue is reportedly to do with being under damped though, at least for the buyer concerned with tracking. I plan on doing a journal when I get my car, eta is set for the first week of Feb. I plan on going FBO with a set of coilovers, PSSs in place of the OEM P Zeros, tint, maybe shift kit, and wheels. There's not much else I'd want to do to it.

I saw a GT on the road running in front of me today, and it looked very nice, dare I say better than the M4 to my eyes. Particularly the rear was just wide and aggressive enough without being overly flashy, except for the huge objectionable "GT" badge. Beautiful machine.

Remember this is the base chassis for the GT350, which will probably put up straight line M4 numbers but kill it on the track, especially for amateurs where the linear, flat plane crank engine should make the car very easy to drive fast. For those looking forward to the GT350, the accolades of the Mustang chassis so far are a very good sign for the performance derivatives.

Ya and you'd also have cloth seats ... Apples and oranges.

you know a car sucks when you have talk about a after market blower or parts to help justify the car.
most people are not looking to buy a brand new car, then put a dam blower on it. stupid agreement overall i guess people forget the fact the old GT was faster in a straight line. THATS why its disappointing. its SLOWER |
