How often are you all changing oil?
Lot more folks over here tracking, so wanted to ask...how often are you all changing your oil when tracking? For example, I've got a little under 2k miles and 2 days on track on my current oil and about to do another 2 day event. Similar to your M3s my oil temp never gets high on track, maybe 240F max. Expect it to be even less stressed this time as the ambient temps will be 60-70F. My last blackstone with 3.6k miles and 3 track days was perfectly normal.

From what I hear the oil cooling is good enough that you don't need to change it especially often. Other people have done analysis similar to your m5. Depends on how many days you're doing, but I'd be completely fine doing 4 days. My plan is more like beginning and end of the season but usually I get 8ish days in. There are people here doing multiples of that.

Chiming in a little late
I usually do about 2-3 track days a month during the summer and try to change my oil before each event. Some might say it's a little over the top, and some not. But I value the peace of mind it gives, and FCP Euro makes it easier on the wallet. |

An oil sample w/ TBN is at Blackstone as we speak from Redline 5W-30 after 6,000 miles and I believe about 10 track days.... we'll see...
I usually change at start and end of season, but this year was the most days I've had so will be curious to see if I waited too long. |

Update: Blackstone must be busy, took almost a month to get this back. But all looks well! Again, this is Redline 5W-30 (non-Euro), 6,000 miles as a daily driver (partial city driving), along with I think about 10 track days. TBN was still going strong, with viscosity in target range.
