DIY tire trailer
I finished up the storage on my diy trailer.
Major parts
It comes in a box. Harbor freight has a similar trailer in steel that may end up being better for you. I was able to pick it up so saved on shipping. Assembly wasn't tool bad. I spray painted the frame before putting it together. I decked it with self tapping screws and 1x6 treated wood. I used a router to cut pockets for the bolt heads so it would lay flush. 7 planks was perfect. For a little more flair I painted the planks in M colors The various racks were all put down with stainless hardware all around. The gas rack is slid fully against the frame. The tire rack has about a 1" gap so I have room to get straps in there. It is bolted in 6 places to the decking. The tool box is also bolted in 6 places. There is just enough gap between the tire rack and box to slide in a folding chair, tent, etc. I had to notch the fenders to get the rack back enough. They are aluminum, so cut easily with a jigsaw. You'll need some minor parts too

Agreed! Thank you for sharing and a very economical alternative to other solutions on the market.

Fwiw the tire stack this will fit is 47.25”
275 square, easy. My 275/295 re71rs are fairly snug. 295 square might be a challenge. For wider tires delete the rack and put in an iron pipe covered in pvc mounted vertically . Iirc 2” works with a flange at the bottom. Stored like that its a bit more of a challenge to load and strapping them down well is super important. Ive seen others make custom horizontal racks with bar stock, etc. depends on much fabrication you are up to. |

Yes - I’d want to augment a rack for 315s and maybe under side carrier for an EzUp.

A little nudging and you might get a canopy where my chair is. In any case it’s pretty easy to modify for specific needs. Hardest part was just getting started. If I had a welder I would probably have built a bit wider rack from square tube.

Actually, that might be an even better option and simple enough. I’ll have excess 1020 from cage build.
