Haha fair enough! And agreed. I had people come up to me all the time asking, "Is this the new M3?" BMW really went all-out on making the M Sport front bumper super aggressive yet classy with the F30.

The only reason I got rid of it was because I wanted a change, something edgier and more raw feeling. Absolutely loved the way it looked; particularly with the M Performance bits I had added.

I don't notice the line much, but I don't nitpick the hood either. I prefer the current hood/bumper set-up to that of the E46 or E9X.

it's missing being built at ///M...

very disappointing.

E92 looks good in any color, any light condition, just a very photogenic M car...
Like a Fashion Model,- looks awesome even when shot with a Polaroid!

The color is part of it. But this is the first "up close & personal", "real world" & "naked" photo of the M4. Sightings by the press and blurry cell phone captures of prototypes with camouflage patches barely warrants an equal comparison; apples to oranges.

Regardless of the lines or how colors show lines, the proportions & shape are not aesthetically pleasing. As I mentioned before, my observation is that the mfr press release photos make the car look worlds better & real world photos don't shine as good of a light on the M4. Whether any are an accurate reflection of the car real life, we'll find out in time.

I used to like Silverstone on the E92, and I was actually considering this colour for my possible purchase of the M3/M4 (but still not sure if I like this car enough to spend so much money for it, will definitely wait for the test drive). I liked how it changed the look, depending on the light conditions.

Not true. The pictures of the YMB coupe are no less 'real world & naked' than this photo is, and the YMB coupe is aesthetically much more pleasing to the eye IMHO.

Yup, the E92 M3 doesn't need CF roof or a stunning color. It's design is strong enough alone.

Be honest solstice....

...Did you like the E9X body style when it first appeared in 07-ish??? I ask because the E9X can look just as crappy depending on the color and options. Don't make me check your old posts. Kidding!

lol @ all the trolls..... "Dont judge it by real world pics!! just wait until we get some special lighting and good angles and then it will look good!!"........ Sorry I want my car to look good in real life, not after an hour of photoshopping and trick lighting.

Not sure why you insist on arguing. The YMB coupe photos showed a straight shot of the anus, and a cut off of the front-side view. One can hardly make out its proportions from a cut out like that. Naked? Perhaps. Real world? No.

It's ridiculous that i even have to tell you that **newsflash**a car's color does not change its proportions. Lines may be sharper, deeper, and accents contrasted, but otherwise the shape of the car does not change. Get your eyes checked!

Breathe cowboy!

The purpose in mentioning the color is simple: certain colors show lines/proportions better than others. Nobody ever said that the shape of a car changes. I don't know what compartment inside your anus you pulled that one from. The main point was that the YMB car that was raw photographed in the real world looked better because the color did the lines justice. Plain and simple really.

I fail to understand how YMB would show a different proportion given the same photograph & other conditions withstanding. Would you mind digging deeper into your anus? Perhaps you'll be able to find your eyes.

Car is absolutely gorgeous. The design is so aggressive. I love the stance from every angle.

I agree that loaner car level E90s can look pretty sad but I always thought the E92 & E93 are beautiful in any model with the Ms bringing the design to it's peak. I have no problem admitting that I think the E92 and E93 M3s are way better looking than my E90. I don't much like the E90's side profile from the B-pillar and back. I really like that part of the F32 and how low and relative small it looks next to the F30 but overall I think the E92 is a much tighter, cleaner and nicer design. When I first saw the E92 I thought it was the best looking dreier of all time, honestly. Can't say the same about the F32 and the F82. It will likely grow on me like some cars tend to do. The M3 looks good out of the gate though.

Btw I also think the E60 & Panamera looks good so I might not have a very generic taste.
