I clicked on the pics and looked at all of them. It is a bit difficult to really see the splitter when the pics are in the shade without a flash or lighsource and on a black car. I also checked out your site and the white M4 is a bit too far away to see any detail. This looks pretty close to the factory. Do you have any better pics AND does this bolt in the factory locations or do you need to do any drilling or gluing or tape (double sided etc).?

We have a customer coming in Monday with this lip. I'll take better pictures at that time PM me your email In regards to installation, the lip takes advantage of the same factory mounting points as the OEM M-Performance Matte Black Lip (PT#51192350711). It does require additional mounting points for the 4 structural knobs that support the lip. |

If you're set on that you can try some body filler and sand it smooth. I can take a look or some different pics so you can get a better idea of what it would look like. |

I really love the look of the lip but don't like the look of the CF splitter pieces (would rather it stay body color), yet I don't want the exposed notches that show if you install the lip without the CF pieces.
Anyone think I'm insane for considering painting the CF splitter pieces to body color and then attaching the lower lip to that? |

Do you have a pic of the front of the car square on, and a side profile? That color matched lip looks really good! I though I'd decided not to get a lip; now I'm not so sure...

So as my car is still at the VPC i have been debating on which spoiler in the front I want. There are 3 options I have come up with to address this issue:
1. Buy the CF splitter and lip combo... most expensive option but you don't have to worry about the edge piece/ gap 2. Buy the lip only as seen in OP... save $ on the CF splitters but have a gap 3. Buy a different lip so no issues. 4. This is the option that I am more inclined to take as I have not seen it done yet on the forums. I plan on applying carbon fiber vinyl wrap to the OEM lip and apply carbon fiber vinyl wrap to the area on the car where the cf splitters go but make it look like the CRT version like the attached pic. In end I'd pay like $500 for the entire project vs like $1600, for very similar look, minus the bragging rights thats its real CF The reason I am doing it this way is because 1. I like the look of the CRT splitters but not about to pay close to $1k for them and 2. I like the OEM splitter alone. If I wrap the OEM piece and wrap where the cf splitters go it will practically look like one piece. Also, by wrapping the lip I think that should take care of any rocks lodging in between the splitter and lip. Any thoughts? Still a work in progress. |
