Passport Question

My passport expires in mid-January 2016 and I have an ED delivery of 9/29/15. I assumed that there would be no problem since I'd only be there for a week or so. However, I found this article and now I'm concerned. (http://traveltips.usatoday.com/neede...any-55606.html)

Has anyone else taken an ED trip under similar circumstances? If not, it looks like I'm going to have to rush order my passport renewal. However, my production number is tied to my current passport number. Is it OK to change that in mid-September when I get my renewed passport number?

Well it seems that you can be validated to enter the country as long as your passport does not expire three months after your planned departure date.

It looks like I may be OK, but I'll need to double check exactly when my passport expires.

You wont have any issues with your production order and you should be able to get your passport updated very easily. Just pay the expedite fee which is not that high.

Thanks for the response! I'll do the expedited renewal just in case.
