Hello everyone,

Long time lurker here who finally decided to become a member. I just picked up a 2016 m4 6speed and couldn't be happier with the car. I have already tuned the car ( I live right next to active autowerke ) and I cannot believe how much faster it is than my N55 M2 was! I got the M4 for a good deal, but it does need a new exhaust ( currently has a cracked mpe v1 ) which bmw will replace, and Bmw just replaced a charge pipe as it broke within 20 miles of initially tuning the car lol.

The only thing I am worried about is the crank hub potentially slipping, but for now I am trying to not think about it. Regardless, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself and I am happy to be here! Happy black Friday everyone!

Welcome from up the road on The Space Coast... Your 6 speed is the proper transmission so congrats! I most likely will be using AA for exhaust work, I'ts nice having such a reputable tuner close by.

16' M3 3 pedal.

Don't worry about the chi, just don't run an e85 tune. Enjoy and welcome!

Welcome Aboard

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your M4 purchase. You'll love it.

I'm heading to Florida for a few weeks of golf in Feb so I'll be watching for all those great sunshine state F80/F82s!

Cheers

Like the man said, forget the crank hub and enjoy the car.

Apparently the E85 tune has been known as kill mode for the crank, but I’m sure you saw, it happens on both stock and tuned cars. It’s tough not to worry about the crank so I’m running the CS+ Map for now
