It is always a choice, however isn't it nice to have that choice?

Having companies continue to advance the platform you have chosen to invest is a good thing. Companies like Redline Speed Worx have taken it upon themselves to educate you even further on the topic and offer a hell of a deal on installation. This doesn't mean you are forced to do it, but it's great to know that well known and respected shops are on board and ready to assist you if you do unfortunately come across this problem.
Hard to imagine how anyone can ever be offended by being offered a choice. Ignorance and denial are bliss, I suppose. I'm RSWs customer zero and am so relieved to not have to worry about this possibility anymore. Drove home from work tonight on jb4 custom map 6 with very high boost (probably higher than it should be with 93, but i'm still experimenting...lol). freakin awesome...and worry-free. plan on hitting the drag strip this sunday with race gas and max boost. no spinning crank hub for me.

thank you TPG for this option. thanks to RSW for the great install and friendly service.

Sorry Eal but this is not a sales thread, cannot post estimates or costs on here!

Feel free to contact your local performance shop, or TPG, or US or any other vendor for pricing information via PM or email!

Noted. I think this is a reasonable precautionary upgrade.

Let's hope this is a easier convince than getting people to accept doing rod bearings in the S65 as a maintenance procedure. 4 years of painful threads for me

As said in the original post, we are by no means trying to scare M3/M4 owners into doing this procedure, merely offering it for those who are concerned.

We also agree that this is a real issue, we believe there is no question we are going to see more fail.

And you would of thought after the E46 they would of been aware of BMW's apparent neglect of rod/bearing tolerances too funny!

I honestly do not see why people are getting so offended over this kit. You just purchased a $70-$80,000 car and you are going to complain about a 1500.00 mod that prevents your engine from potentially blowing up? some people, wow. And to the guy that will quote my post and say "im glad some of us have money to blow". Yes if you are on this forum and just bought an F8x M3/4, you should have money to blow... If you do not then you should not have bought the vehicle or at the least modded it...

Exactly. Just like S65 and S85 rod bearing issues.
BMW still denies an issue and some owners still don't want to commit.
Crank hub is a great peace of mind.
Doing out first install on Monday

Mine Arrived, I have them sitting on my desk. Haven't had time to get them fitted yet.

Happy to put this potential issue to bed and get on with modding. Thanks TPG.
