Apple CarPlay and Reverse Camera Issue

Anyone know why the reverse camera isn’t coming on when putting into reverse gear when apple carplay (Apple Maps) is being used and on screen?

Should this work or is it a known issue?

I just added CarPlay but haven’t had that issue. No change in backup camera operation.
