Own a late 2018 F80 ZCP. How often are people updating their maps? Is it covered under warranty? If not, is BimmerTech the best way to go?

Usually people update one or twice a year.
Sometimes car have valid subscription for maps so no need to pay for that.

Thanks for the response. Are you saying that they will update automatically if a subscription is applicable? If not, is a trip the dealership necessary?

Just installed the Lifetime Map Subscription from kubax86. The patch install was a breeze which literally only took 2-3mins.

Now considering fullscreen Carplay feature next from kubax86.

That’s a screaming deal. I’m paying $50 per update from another vendor. Downloads are usually about 30 GB and I install it myself with a flash drive.

Do I need to update maps some other way for it to show a 2020 version?

Does this allow you to change your maps to a different region? I'm on Florida cause the car was purchased there but I live in RI n

Maps can be changed to a different region but one FSC is for one region.

kubax86 do you still offer the lifetime map subscription? Just picked up my 2018 M3 last Saturday and would like to update my navigation to the latest maps. New to the forum (and BMW's) and I'm not able to send PMs. Thanks.
