CB Radio SSB for my 2016 F80

So looked through the sight and have not been able to find a thread on CB installations. Has anyone installed a CB in their M3 or M4??[IMG][/IMG]

Breaker, breaker! It's 2021. Cell phones. Walkie-talkies half the size of a bar of soap. Nobody uses chicken-band any more.

What's the reasoning for a CB radio ? I understand if you're in an off-road vehicle or maybe live remote.

Or is it fast n furious reasons lol ?

While driving down the road, there are a lot of professional drivers still using the Citizens Band radio. While cell phones provide quite a bit, they do not provide easy access to those drivers. I used to find the broadcasts useful and sometimes entertaining when I had a radio way back when, I'm thinking it could be fun to have one in the F80. Adding on a 10m unit too, could provide valuable communication capability when cell towers are down. I'm thinking a standard Uniden Bearcat 980 might go nice, since display will match interior lighting at night.
