Here is their site -> http://texastrackworks.com/ All my track friends have used them and said they're the best. They're in Ft. Worth so I've never used them lol, Ft. Worth is a drive from Dallas. But I talked to them today and got a really good vibe. I always just start out saying it's just an M4 so I don't get hit with the GTS tax but once I told them it was a GTS and had KW 3-ways stock etc. they were super enthusiastic and asked a ton of questions about the car. Seemed like proper enthusiasts.

Lol, nice. Don't you have to get an alignment any time you change ride height? I thought that was the case.

The rebound adjustments are also super easy. 3 settings per shock.. Just close it all the way and then count clicks as you unscrew it. I think 800$ is too much for something as simple as this... unless you don't want to mess with it. I don't know, I love tinkering with things like this... adjusting the splitter, rear spoiler, shocks, height. It's fun.

Gotcha, im trying to raise the car not lower it
I agree the $800 quote was ridiculous, TTW is doing it for $300 which seemed pretty reasonable given they're adjusting all four corners to exact factory spec then performing an alignment. I can see how tinkering would be a lot of fun, unfortunately my free time is really limited these days.

This car is meant for a track... that's why it gives you an option to adjust it yourself. Nobody that I know goes to get alignment every time they touch the suspension for the track/street. I never tracked my last nor have plans for this one, but I do lower it 10mm as I like the lowered look better. Personal preference.

It takes maybe 15 mins. That's nuts. EDIT: Saw the alignment. If they're doing a proper alignment with corner balancing, that's not bad. But the raising/lowering is very easy if you have a decent jack and a wheel gun. You also don't need an alignment when moving from track to street or vice versa. It was designed so that camber/toe/caster/etc would all be correct when raised or lowered. |

Yes, this includes proper alignment with corner balance. I also have no idea what the current alignment settings are as I just bought the car so I wanted to have a good baseline (It didn't need any fluid changes at 3k miles either but I again wanted a clean baseline and the peace of mind that everything is perfect).
It also very slightly pulls to the right if I let go of the wheel at highway speeds so I figured an alignment was in order. The shop told me raising the car and putting the dampers to Public Road spec is the easy part and doesn't add much to the cost, it's mainly the alignment. To have a pro alignment with corner balance done at a well regarded shop the price seemed reasonable, and they were the cheapest quote I got among two M specialists and another Porsche track shop I contacted. Good to know raising/lowering doesn't require an alignment though, for some reason I thought that was always the case.

Car has been on a trickle charger for the last ~month. I'm not going to winterize the car this year, going to track it a few times this winter to stay fresh in addition to some iRacing practice.
Huh.. my car does the same exact thing even after 2 subsequent alignments to touch up front camber and rear toe. My DME wasn't flashed for my water injection block, guess I should inquire to see if there are any updates available. |

You likely won't notice the aero adjustments on the street, or even on the track. Rear wing at maximum attack + splitter retracted vs deployed and I cannot sense a difference at 90mph and 1g+ cornering.
I've driven heavy aero cars that just understeer perpetually from all the rear downforce. That isn't the M4 GTS. The aero is mostly style points. |
