New discovery (driven m4's for 3 years). Press and hold the seat heater button and it goes off rather than clicking it 3 times.
I'm stunned

Also learned a while ago that the towing eye on different models is different each time. Ie m4 / x5 / M5 etc. Even the thread size differs. Why on earth they do that has dumbfounded me for months.

You just saved me 1 second times, I don't know, 50 events per year. Four year ownership....I owe you 3 minutes and 20 seconds!

Some towing eyes like a thicker girth am I right.
Yep. And some like a bit more length as well. It's not all about girth.

Same applies to the A/C controls - when I open the windows, I just press and hold "down" on the fan controls and in a second or so it shuts off completely. Saves pressing down 3 or 4 times to get it to the off position.

Holy crap. More revelations.

Now if only there was a go faster button somewhere ...

There is - it's a pedal under the dash. The one on the right. Press and hold that too!

I thought that was the panic button for when you see blue lights in the mirror.

I really dont go over 30-35 in my neighborhood. Everyone goes this speed. However my car draws a lot of attention noise wise. Everyone is slowing turning on me. One guy screamed at me because I was going 25mph through the street. Im literally done. My valves are closed from 10pm-9AM. IDGAF at any other times. Fooking rent-a-cops.

Also a side note. Im tired of left lane campers. You will be honked at 100% until you move. These people are creating dangerous traffic situations and I'm the bad guy.

Feel that 100p. This happened in my previous car (2015 S4). It had an intake and AWE Track exhaust, among other mods. The supercharger whine and the more or less straight piped exhaust made people think you're speeding regardless.

I was literally going *25mph* down a residential street and had someone run out to the middle of the road, wave their hands, and start yelling for me to slow down. It was a 30 zone and I was at 1/4 throttle. Dude, I'm just cruising down the street at 25... not trying to GTA the neighborhood lemonade stand.

^ Piggy-banking off this, I took my foot off the throttle to slow down because I saw someone crossing the street ahead of me. Mind you, I was going well under the speed limit because I was looking for parking. I guess she heard burbles and started bolting across the road thinking I was speeding. I came to a full stop with more than enough room for her to cross safely and she yelled at me saying "you almost killed me!!"

People associate "loud cars" with speeding. And I've gotten lots of dirty looks from pedestrians because of this. Never had that issue in my old conservative little c350 coupé

Such an awesome discovery. When I went to turn on the fan/AC, it turns back on to the same settings that you turned them off with one touch! So great.

prob covered already but it seems the electric lumbar and side bolster adjustments are not part of the seat memory. I didn't realize this until today.

Thank you gentlemen for trying to get this thread back on track with interesting and useful posts, and away from the inane "I learned how much I love my yellow M3" posts.

Well

I found out that while checking tire pressure/temperature, the diagram will show if your headlights/taillights are ON or OFF.

Cool detail

This works for me, however when the cars wet i hear the clicking but the trunk wont raise. As if the moisture creates a seal that the trunk dampers cant overcome

Accelerate in Reverse

After washing my car today I figured I'll drive to end my driveway to get the iron off of my rotors. My driveway is pretty long so as I reversed I let the clutch out completely and my F80 MY 18 6MT accelerated. I had to ride the brake to prevent from driving straight into my hedges. My M3 really picked up speed without me touching the gas pedal.

The 6mt is fool proof. It's almost impossible to stall the car. Unlike older manuals
