F82 coding for driver's seat to move back to exit?

Hello all. My SS has this feature and I love it. When I turn off the car the driver's seat moves back making getting in and out so much easier.

I've read some threads on here but honestly the ones I've found have a lot of info in them but a lot of the info says "I tried it and it didn't work" or it's for the F80.

Does anyone have a clear and simple way of explaining how I code this feature in using BimmerCode? Thanks so much.

It looks like it's for electronic steering wheel? But we don't have this on the F8X, right?

EINSTIEGH - EINSTIEGSHILFE
These codes are explained in EsysX actually so you can edit CAFD and check.

I've done this in my F80 and my F82. It's a nice feature, but sometimes it chooses not to work. Odd.

I have encountered this if my seat is too far back.

Exactly...if you seat is not in a certain range in your preferred driving position then it does not activate. Never could figure it out

Mine was always in the out of range position so it never worked..... and I am only 5'8"

I'm only an inch taller than you so I can see why.

I am assuming you guys are aware that the value of EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS can be set to higher values to allow more movement of the seat. I have set the value to x60 (which is 60 in HEX or 96 mm - nearly 10 cms).

Also, the other value EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS denotes how much gap to retain at the back. A lower value will cause the seat to move backwards a lot more. All values are in in mm and need to be input in Hex.

Yes i do....I paid to have the car coded and he could never get it to function correctly. So either I am out of the range or..... my used car is screwed up. Either way I live without it at the moment. Guess I could play with it myself. I have bimmercode but I royally screwed some stuff up on the M2 so stuck with paying someone

I think I set it pretty far back because if I have someone behind me, their legs start getting crushed

I have this issue if the seat isn’t in one of the preprogrammed memory positions.

That's quite an odd one, I usually fiddle around with my seat adjustments and haven't ran into the issue like that.

It’s what makes my F82 my F82.

At least that’s what I tell myself at automatic payment time.
