Lowering Spring Recommendations!?!?!
Hey guys,
I recently just picked up a 2020 M4 Comp and like most owners want to lower it. The car is my daily driver and I'm looking for springs that either keep or improve a bit on handling and have a similar or slightly stiffer feel to stock(but not crazy stiff). Would it be wise to go with an HAS kit or just springs? Here are some of the brands I've been recommended: -KW HAS -MSS HAS -Eibach prokit - EMD springs Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks |

Personally i don't like the EDC shocks on these cars. They are crashy at low speed and floaty at high speed and with lowering springs they get a bit bouncier. Anyway, i would choose a set of H&R sport springs. They lower 35mm at the front and 15 at the rear iirc. Not too low and slightly stiffer.

All good brands, the most popular springs springs are the H&R but if you want flexibility, I'd go with the KW HAS

Leave it stock or go quality coils. There’s several threads already posted on lowering springs.

Need some clarification on alignment after installing lowering springs. Is it necessary to realign (if so what should new settings be) or will stock alignment be okay? I've read good reviews about EMD springs hitting the sweet spot so I'm leaning towards them.

Great choice on the EMD springs! If you are running the OEM wheels, the stock alignment should be perfectly fine

If you have coils on the A90 and G82, why would you think that only doing springs would be “simpler”? It was already mentioned above so I’m sure you’re aware just slapping on a different set of springs whilst making the car feel stiffer does not translate to a better handling car.
I’m in the camp of either leave it stock or do it properly but that’s your decision to be made. |

If my preference is to go with springs for my daily because I get to keep edc and other things then that’s what I wanna do. I asked for suggestions on springs not why I should be going with coils which I’m are better for handling setups but that’s not what this car is for me. |
