Post a link to how that baby sounds! I bet it sounds wicked on E85 with the single mid and 3-can (same build but the new EVO snails and a MadMax pooper).

Recently got Pure Stage 2+ turbos installed on my F80 this week. Here's my dyno run:
With the exception of downpipes, this car is otherwise completely stock for performance upgrades. No fueling pump upgrades, no meth, no PI, nada. Just running an OTS BM3 Stage 2H E30 tune. I plan on getting an E50 custom tune through PJT in the coming weeks, at which point I'm hoping for more like ~650 wheel. However, about 600 wheel is how these cars appear to run in a pretty bare-bones build with the one-size-fits-all 2H tune from bootmod3. The guys at my local performance shop tell me that the OTS 2H tunes leave a lot of power on the table, and I'm inclined to agree. I'll be running it again after a custom tune! |

With the lift kit and the eu5 injectors, how hard is it to code the new injectors?

Rambling thoughts - I guess i'm a little confused on the limits of the factory fueling system and/or is it silly to upgrade to Pure without addressing any of the factory fueling limits?
I'm sure i'll change my mind at a later time, but i'm really only interested in comfortably cracking that 600-650whp mark and am running a totally stock fuel system, with the Bend Calibration ultimate F8X setup. It's just a street car for me that might see some 1/2 mile duty at some point. It's obviously hard to guestimate this sort of stuff without any logs/seeing duty cycles but I'd assume the factory fueling system could support this sort of power on E30/50 and be ok? I'd really really prefer to stay pump/flex fuel without meth due to the ease of it, but I can also be swayed i'm sure. I was already a slow adopter to E-blends so. Also, with bigger turbos is there any threshold where intakes become more of a needed item? Seems like most get by just find with BMC in the stock airboxes like i'm running.

Hybrid turbos + 93 custom tune = 630 Hybrid turbos + E30/50 custom = 650 With E85 on stock turbos you can run high HPFP pressure to hit 600, but risk failing an injector. Hybrid + 93 / E30 can run normal or slightly high HPFP. Hybrids + E50 and now you need to push high HPFP again. Is that risk worth 25HP? BMC with stock boxes flow great and don't pull the IAT rise like under hood intakes do. I race on BMC. Front mount are better than OEM but can get dirty easy, and I prefer you use red cone filters with socks instead of steel cone filters.

I'll likely go EU5 and the lift kit but I want to try to space out some of my modding path. I guess I COULD do all the fueling first, retune and then go turbos and.. retune, but the turbos seem like a lot more fun to do first.

If anything, it's very helpful just to talk through these setups with other internet strangers because no one cares enough irl lol. So thanks for that.

I'll be swapping to a Paul Johnson custom tune shortly, however. Fair warning - the car is missing a significant amount of 2500-3500 range torque for 'around town' driving. I'm hoping a custom tune might be able to give me some of that missing midrange power. I also installed CTS intakes on this car, and my spool sound is like a modded 2JZ. LOUD. Before 35mph it's louder than the engine itself. I personally love the theater - might not be for everyone through. |

Bumping this since I just picked up the freshly Pure-turbo'd vehicle and it's an absolute blast to drive.
Lots of great partial-throttle spooling noises, exhaust note seems to be a touch different (maybe) and the power delivery is 100% different than how it was before. It's much more linear and peaky. Laggier for sure, but the top end power just pulls and pulls. I'll have to spend a little more time with it and give some more comprehensive thoughts but so far so good and can definitely recommend at this point based on initial impressions. This is also on a FBO setup running the 2H E30 map.

heitzke Glad to hear you're enjoying the PS2+!
The power delivery is indeed extremely different, and far more peaky. I started working with Paul Johnson last week on dual custom tunes - One for E50 and one for regular 91oct pump gas (Arizona, no 93 unfortunately) I will say having a custom tune has dramatically made up for the lack of low-end torque. The power band is smoother and in greater supply essentially everywhere. I'd highly recommend it! On just my second revision, I logged a 5.78 second 100-200kph, making my M3 on-par with a stock 488 GTB in a roll race. Having a blast lol |

I'm doing a 93 - E50 flex tune, and so far so good. What does Paul have you running for boost right now JesseH234 ? I just did my first last log of 93/first of E30 and i'm sitting at 28psi.
