Carbon Fiber Accessories
I've ordered 3-D Style front splitter, side skirts and diffuser and a CS Style trunk lid spoiler from Yomato Carbon in Montreal.
Current prices on their website are reduced under the winter sale. I'm expecting delivery in the next week or two (delayed because of COVID-19 measures). When I get them installed, I'll post a review of fit, finish and quality. Speed |

Does anyone have any carbon weave comparisons between an OEM spoiler vs. something like an X-PH carbon spoiler?
I'd really like to go OEM everything, but for $400 difference it seems a little ridiculous. |

M perf is what I have on my car, front lip, splitters, diffuser and spoiler and it is very good quality. RKP from what I've seen is also good in terms of fitment and quality. The brands that are even more expensive then M I would also assume. Anything too cheap to be true kind of thing or no name on ebay I would steer clear..

I bought the trunk spoiler from BMW. I bought the BMW diffuser from a forum member. I now want the mirror caps & CS style lip spoiler. I see Dinan sells the mirror caps for a reasonable price. Does anyone have any thoughts on the mirror caps or a CS style lip spoiler?

I'm an OEM believer. And also don't mind paying more for perfect fitment and matching weave patterns.
My vote is M Performance or RKP

For example in our case, we have high-quality carbon fiber products. The same quality parts are being sold for 2-3 times the price. The reason ours are so cheap is that our main income is not from Carbon fiber products, in fact, XPH products make less than 1% of our revenue. We are not selling these parts to make money, we are doing it to gain more customers and make sure our existing customers stay with us for all their BMW modification needs.

Just purchased the x-ph mirror caps and carbon trunk spoiler. Figured, it's $350 for both of these, or nearly $500 for just one spoiler from getbmwparts.

For my first add-on I didn't want any headaches so I went with Vorsteiner EVO for the front spoiler. Fit and finish was 10 out of 10, but so was the cost (~$1200). No need to remove or trim any OEM components, just 3M tape, rubber washers and stainless screws (not included, buy at H.Depot). Perfect means Perfect.
For the rear kit I bought a used X-PH set off a buddy. Looks just like my Vorsteiner, and is built solid. Fit and finish is 8-9 out of 10...just took a some minor fiddling to fit real nice (one gap is a quarter inch wider, only I can see it...OCD). If I had known that the X-PH was so nice I could have bought a full front/ back/skirt kit for the price I paid for Vorsteiner. Not saying V-brand isn't worth it. It's nice to see aftermarket pieces line up perfectly. I've worked a car shop and can hang panels, tape and detail, so it's a no brainer to save the money and do a little tweaking. BTW our interior CF trim is 2x2 but the CF roof is 1x1. The Vorsteiner kits are available in 1x1 for an exact match to the roof. If you do have the CF roof look for 1x1 in other brands so it matches. Good luck!

As per IND and Turner the OEM CF diffuser, spoilers, etc are 2x2. That's M-Perf OEM.
Since our buddy asked for pix here's the comparison... CF roof shot, real V-brand chin, and the X-PH brand tail. You can see in the last pic that the CF pattern on the X-PH doesn't stay exactly the same on the 3-pieces of the diffuser kit, which is why I dinked the "finish" score to an 8. I say X-PH is still worth it to save a grand (or more, a V-brand diffuser is ~$1600), unless you'll be graded for points at a show or plan lots of CF close-up pix for a magazine. If that's the case I would buy real Vorsteiner. Their labels peel off if you want them off, otherwise they stick good.

RSC Front Air Dam BMW carbon fiber is a good choice for M3. RSC is one of the strongest, aggressive, and aerodynamic carbon fiber in the market

Depends what you like. I have to agree with alot of people OEM fits best and will match your cars weave the best if it came with carbon from the factory. But it doesn’t do a very good job of differentiating your car at meets or show, or even on the road really. Thats why I went with an APR style lip and duck-tail. To each their own but I wanted my car to look a bit more aggressive than OEM and I found that the lip and canards fit very nice together when all was said and done. Also clean M man

carbon fiber parts are almost always mixed with FRP, as it's very difficult to mold full carbon fiber.
