Curious how those Ohlins work out for you vs the clubsports. edit: Which brakelines are you using for your AP Racing calipers? |

I'll let you know how the ohlins set up works! There wasn't anything wrong with the stock 3 ways. It was just sort of an impulse decision and I think they're gonna take some fiddling to make them work but I hope they make a change for the better in the long run. They're spiegler lines. |

In general - friends barbarians, take pity on the car, it is not for racing, but for the collection.

Clip from the car on the dyno on Saturday. The GoPro microphone just doesn't do the exhaust justice. Going back once the water injection is working.

Put a gopro on my interior windshield for last track day, captured nearly everything even with windows down. Helmet on you can hear every prod of the throttle. and the "brrr-aaack!" as you move from on to off throttle is amazing. Do you have 6 pt? That adds to because the rumble comes through the cage and down the shoulder harnesses. Glad to hear you're getting the water system sorted.

Got out to the track a week ago, it had been ~7-8 months so there was some serious rust removal needed. Looped the car twice in 2.5 hours, both times I just wasn't paying enough attention and outright failed to even try to counter-steer and throttle out. Luckily I was taking all of the high-speed corners pretty casual, so both spins were medium-speed 50mph corners.
The NT01s have an unknown number of heat cycles on them, I primarily wanted the wheels, but I'm not very impressed with their grip. The AP Racing brakes were stellar, I'm overbraking the two high-speed corners by 10+mph with zero fade even after a 45 minute. I was struggling with front-end grip on the NT01s, I missed several braking zones like in this short clip going into T1 at High Plains Raceway. Admittedly I was struggling with tire pressures all day, finally got it sorted in the 4th session, but the front-end grip still felt down compared to the Sport Cup 2. This is the only clean session I have a recording of, the GoPro overheated after the third session. It is a shame as my fifth session I was mostly alone for 45 minutes and really got to practice a few corners. Drove the car until it fuel starved on a medium-speed right hander. Once again the seat in the car is a major failure. I've got a pretty narrow waist and I'm just sliding around. My throttle/brake/wheel inputs were all over the place under threshold braking or really pushing corners. I like to two-foot the pedal box on DCTs, but I really need a 6-point to not necessitate using the wheel as a stability device. |

Yup, and the outer bypass tips are definitely seeing some heat. The inner muffled tips are still just shiny titanium.

As far as I know, all four tips are functional at all times, valves open or not...

From the sound of it, my hunch is that it was taken with an external mic mounted on the rear bumper (OP please correct me if I'm mistaken).

I'll probably change out the oil every ~10 hours on the track. There's no way I'll change oil based on mileage or age. Quote:
